Privacy policy
In effect on October 10, 2026.
Agent Pompier (agentpompier.com) is an information site. It works without an account, a name or an email. This privacy policy explains what the site collects, in accordance with the Loi sur la protection des renseignements personnels dans le secteur privé (Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector).
1. What the site collects
- Shift stories: the text you send, the tags you chose and the date. No name, no email and no IP address is recorded with the story.
- Article ideas: the text you send and the date. No name, no email and no IP address is recorded with the idea.
- Reactions to articles (the three hearts): the article, the heart chosen and the date. Nothing identifies you.
- Traffic: Vercel Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without following you from one site to another. If you accept it in the banner provided for this purpose, we also use Google Analytics, which places cookies to measure use of the site. This data is processed by Google, possibly outside Quebec. If you refuse, Google Analytics is not loaded.
- Emails: if you write to us, we keep your message for as long as it takes to reply.
2. What stays in your browser
The list of articles you have read and the heart you gave an article are kept in your browser, on your device. They are not sent to us. You erase them by clearing the site's data in your browser.
3. Providers
- Vercel hosts the site and measures traffic.
- Supabase stores article ideas, stories and reactions.
- Google Fonts supplies the fonts: your browser requests them from Google, which receives your IP address.
These providers may store data outside Quebec.
4. Dictation
On a phone, the story form offers dictation. Your browser turns your voice into text, and may go through Google's or Apple's service depending on your device. The site receives no sound, only the text you send.
5. Retention
A story that is not selected is deleted. A published story is rewritten without the name of any person or establishment. Reactions are kept as totals.
6. Your rights
You may ask to view, correct or erase information about you. Since stories and reactions are not linked to anyone, give us the text or the date it was sent so we can find it.
7. Person in charge and contact
Person in charge of the protection of personal information: Martin Archambault.
Email: info@agentpompier.com
8. Changes
This policy may change. The effective date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
